PayGas understands that COVID-19 has caused insurmountable financial difficulties and continues to challenge our way of life. Lockdowns have radically affected
low-income and food-insecure households, decreasing their livelihood and increasing their burdens.
Clean cooking fuel is an essential basic service. In South Africa, PayGas was issued a permit as an essential service provider to enable the distribution of LPG. The results were stunning.
In July 2020, PayGas tripled the volume of distribution compared to the pre-lock down levels in February.
The demand for LPG also resulted in additional revenues shared by PayGas with local operators of Pay As You Gas™ stations, allowing to maintain, and even increase the livelihoods of our franchisees during this difficult context.
